FT-817(ND) Stand $27 Most often when operating the FT-817(ND), it soon becomes apparent that it is difficult to see the display without bending over ... and that gets old quick! The FT-817(ND) stand is really a quite nice addition to the FT-817(ND). The stand simply snaps into the carrying strap bracket (no strap of couse installed) and the tilt angle is adjusted by moving the stand arms up or down. They are secured by a hex screw in each arm holder (Allen wrench is included). When you get ready to pack up the gear, you just "pop" off the stand and put it away. Oh yes, the coax connector is still very usable AND you can plug the Fast Charge Cable for the W4RT One FAST Charger in to the base of the FT-817(ND) with the stand installed. This allows you to charge the OPP-817+ while operating using an external power source!
