The following table presents a price comparison of the filters (31 March 2007) for the FT-817, FT-817ND, FT-857, FT-857D, FT-897, and FT-897D. The filters are the Yaesu YF-122CN, YF-122C, and YF-122S. However, W4RT Electronics makes its own boards, uses only factory-fresh Collins Mechanical Filters, and uses the identical (special) connectors that Yaesu uses. INRAD also makes its own boards and uses Collins Mechanical Filters for its version of the YF-122S. Also, GigaParts and AES both sell W4RT Electronics' One Plug Filter (OPF) in addition to the Yaesu brand filter. So how can W4RT Electronics offer you such low prices? We buy a large volume of unmounted filters from Collins, complete the fabrication of the final filter assembly in-house, have low-overhead, and no middlemen. We should also mention that EVERY W4RT Electronics filter assembly is tested in an actual Yaesu radio to assure you of high quality-assurance!
